- Achte darauf, dass die Fahrt in der App gestartet ist, und teile sie mit einer Freundin oder einem Freund.
Häufige Fragen
Does Uber work in Addis Ababa?
No, Uber doesn't operate in Ethiopia. Use RIDE, Feres or Yango instead, and pay the driver in cash unless the app offers another method.

Yes, by phone. Call RIDE on 8294, Feres on 6090 or Yango on 8610, and pay the driver in cash.
How do I stay safe using ride-hailing in Addis Ababa?
Check the driver's name, car and plate number when the car arrives, and make sure the trip has started in the app. Share the trip with a friend, and don't accept a different car or an off-app price.

Not in central Addis, where they aren't allowed. Bajaj are for short hops in outer areas and other towns, paid in cash.
Is there a light rail in Addis Ababa?
Yes, the light rail (LRT) runs on east-west and north-south routes. It's cheap but often crowded, with limited coverage, and you buy a cash ticket at the station.
Should I use minibus taxis in Addis Ababa?
They're cheap and run fixed routes, but they're busy and confusing for first-timers. Pay in cash with very small notes, and watch your phone and bag.
